I FULLY understand M$ reasons for not including blu-ray at this point,but i personally wanted it for my 360 so bad...
guess i'll have to wait until the 720 before we see a M$ console playing Hi-Def discs...
I don't mind downloading movies, but as long as i have 6 TB of storage and i can KEEP that damn things instead of just renting them...
I want to OWN movies, not rent them...

My friend can't even own a 360. He lives very close to a railway and the constant vibrations cause a 360 console to scratch discs. Don't have with his playstation 1,2, xbox original, gamecube and Wii though... hum...
Are sony refering to the HD-DVD drive add-on that M$ don't even make or sell anymore? (rolls eyes) Or do sony know something about M$ that even they don't?
I love to see a blu-ray drive add-on for the 360 though...

IAnd as much as Blu-Ray is a cost burden for the PS3, those costs will go down. I can't see sony release a PS4 with a DVD drive like this stupid article claims...

But M$ have a long histry with software and have some of the best programmers in the world. Sony don't. They can't even design their own consoles to be easy for developers to work on.
They should have left the chip in. Had to sku's, one with BC, one without. Stick to what they are best at, Hardware.

Basically, a comsumer base that will not cross over in a a few years to a nother console. It was a one off for them. Its why the Wii sells so little software...

Until sega anounce Shnemue 3 in development, i refuse to buy another sega game ever.
Mainly because the economy is working against sony at the moment. Sony can have 5000 AAA games, but at the cost to buy the ps3 people won't pay in a recession.
We should wait until E3 for M$ to announce its 2009 lineup.

It wasn't being first that helped M$ win, it was cheaper hardware and LUCK.
Luck that the economy crumbled making ps3 too expensive for people. Luck that the PS3 had early problems with the diodes and cell processor.
Basically, if the economey was better, and sony hadn't dropped the ball, M$ wouldn't be 8 million ahead.
M$ have just been very lucky then generation...
I don't think i'd buy it. I hate the company, and i hate MOST but not all, of its rehashed games...
I'm currenly enjoying the predicable Dead Space though...
